'108th Northern Ireland Company'

The aim of the Girls' Brigade (GB), being a Christian Organisation, international and interdenominational is:-

'To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility, to find enrichment of life.'

The GB is composed of local companies each of which is connected with a Church or Mission of an approved Christian denomination.

The programme provides activities designed to help girls attain physical, mental and spiritual maturity and encourage girls to express what they learn through practical service to home, community and Church.

All leaders in the GB seek, with God's help, to maintain a varied programme. The above aim and principles are implemented in a loving and enjoyable environment through games, handcraft, community work and Bible study.

The Brigade is composed of four sections:-

Explorers:- Under 8 years
Juniors:- 8 to 10 years
Seniors:- 11 to 13 years
Brigaders:- 14 to 18 years

If you have girls in your family or relations, neighbours or acquaintances, please encourage them to come along to the Harryville Girls' Brigade on a Thursday evening during the following times (September to April):-

Explorers: 6.30pm - 7.30pm

Juniors, Seniors & Brigaders: 7.15pm - 9.00pm

They can be assured of a cordial welcome and an interesting and varied programme.
